yes, finally watched "War of the Worlds" ....... frankly speaking, i might say i am very grateful that i can only vividly remember the plot in the book which i read when i was in my teens. Guess it did not interfere with my film appreciation process since i cannot relate the book and movie together. I could just remember the overall pictures and the ending how the aliens die.....
The arrival of the aliens, the destructions ,,, the aliens' powerful and undefeatable weapons... their gruesome act of sucking the human blood and preying on us human being... reflect how vulnerable we human beings are..... And the scene where Ray killed that guy as he was making a lot of noise and in a state of shock rather,,,,, that's what i called an act of survival. =) Towards the end, when the aliens were destoryed because they were not immune to the bacteria and viruses on earth. heehee ... now i remember what inspired me to take up microbiology..... haha .....
I was so damned pissed off with the new behavioural science lecturer today..... she was so damn childish,,,, is that how adult students to be handled... but the younger audiences seemed to be taking her jokes very well.. while the older folks..dun find her jokes funny at all.... One thing about poly is that they still treat students like kids..... oh please... who would care if we attend lectures or not,.,,can't they be like uni where the students take charge of their own ,,,,, attend lectures and even sit which row in the lecture room.... that's what i called freedom okie.....
