We have reached the finale of 2008. We will be bidding goodbyes to year 2008 at 2359 tonight.

What have i done in year 2008? i dun remember setting any resolutions for year 2008. Checked my blog. Indeed, no resolutions set for the year.

My health has not been in good condition over the year, i was plagued with flu, sinusitis and backpain throughout the year. Guess for the coming year, i will need to keep a close watch over my health and must set my heart to get an appointment for my spine problem.

Work is busy as usual with me getting more involved in many different committees. Sometimes i have no idea how i ended up with so many things in my hands. There's roster com, training com and within training com the annual radiographers' workshop com, then come the new added com for checking of image quality. i could foresee the year ahead will be a busy one if i continue my stay at nuh. Well, i am looking forward to the challenges ahead and some of the revamps i will be working on. That's work basically.

Moving forward is the decision of whether or not to take up study again. but i really think that i am not going to do radiography degree. i was talking to LCR the other day, we cannot be working in ct and transferring patients till we retired. Our back will be long gone before we could enjoy life. No QOL after retirement. =( Therefore, must plan for the future.

Had a couple of short getaways in 2008. Hope there will be more fun with the number of long weekends next year. Aiming for the visit for the LA again sometime later next year. Yeah.. can breathe fresh air again.

For the coming year, i need to get back to my reading habits again. It seems that i am lagging behind in terms of general knowledge. My life revolved round work and radiography. Need to incorporate other materials in my life.

Alrighty !!! As usual, i will be working through the new year hols like past years. Celebrating new year in hospital again with my ct scanner. =)

It has been a tiring day today. But still like to congratulate xy & jason for joining their union today.

The day started pretty early at 4 am , getting out of bed to prepare for the gate crushing session at 630am. Luckily, my younger brother could not sleep and they decided to send me there. If not i dunno how much i will be spending on my cab fare. Oops

As sisters, we prepared a breakfast set to welcome the brothers. Of course, the usual sour, sweet, bitter and spicy. Personally i have sampled the bitter tea before hand. It was really bitter. However, the spiciness before the bitter round has seemed to minus off the bitterness of the tea as the guys' taste buds were simply numbed by the hotness from the chilli. The keys round was fun coz we purposely made 5 fake keys to the padlock and asked them to search for the key to the door. i must say the brothers had done a very good job.

Everything went pretty well and we managed to grab some rest at the hotel before the lunch reception. The lunch ambience setting was good coupled with a nice performance from a little dream band. Food was good.

Nevertheless, let's join our hands to wish the newly wed happy ever after.

Well, looks like my mummy has lost another relative this year. One of her closer cousins has passed on due to illness.

I am pretty worried for my mum as one by one her older relatives left her. She has lost another soulmate whom she could seek advice from especially when this person has been taking care of her, most concern about her well being since young.

Guess that is part and parcel of old age. We have to face the reality that our friends and relatives have to leave us at some point of time in our life journeys. Like what i said to her last night, she has less sufferings as compared to her other counterparts. From the time she was diagnosed till her end, it was not a very long period of time. We should be glad that the disease does not torment her for long period of time. She was alright till one day before her death.

i am on night shift these two nights. Most probably will arrange to send her off her final journey on my off days which means i have to rearrange my schedule for that week. Oops... we shall see how.

The month of December has always been my favourite month of the year as there is christmas holidays. I have been working on christmas hols and new year for the past 2 years since i have joined radiography. Anyway, i am going to have off day for christmas and have to countdown in hospital again this year.

Firstly, i have been sick since the mid of November. Year 2008 has not been a good year for me as my health has not been good for the entire year. One could see from the number of medical leaves j have accumulated through the past eleven months. This is probably the highest peak in my working years including the teletech periods. I have never in the past taken more than 4 days mc per year. This year, i have taken 10 days of medical leaves. This is so horrible.

My new year resolution is mainly to get my health back on track. Have i really overworked myself ? i have no ideas at all. What should i do then .......
