Just received a call from an friend whom i got to know through icq two years plus ago. This friend who kept bugging me from two years ago till now to collect a present he bought for me from Germany. for some reasons i dun want to collect the present from him then..Hee hee. i have always enjoy chit chatting with this guy coz he could converse very well in mandarin and we could really "suan" each other with idoms and stuffs. Nice to have a little brother to keep me entertain though. Since it has already been two years and he was not sure where he has kept the bear exactly, so i asked him to find that bear (instead of giving me something else) then we see when i shall collect the present. And guess what.... i just received sms from him that he has found the bear.... sigh... looks like i have no choice but to collect the present. =P

The doggie year has finally arrived. Yes, today is the first day of the lunar new year.

It was a busy day yesterday with the preparation of the reunion dinner at night. In the midst of the preparation, the guys in my family watched the DVD of "The Last Samurai". Poor me, has to watch it alone when i am free. =(

This was to date the shortest house visits day among my past experiences. We settled most of our relatives today which means i dun have to follow my parents around anymore. Those i need to show face ones already completed. YEAH!!! ..i dunno why the relatives always have problems differentiating both my brothers. always guess my younger bro is the older one coz he is in fact taller and (so sad) maybe look older than my elder bro... ha ha ha... the best episode was that someone thought my younger bro is my BF. That's the ultimate one... and this was not the first time this happened. It occurred pretty frequently. Maybe we dun behave or look like siblings ????

We thus ended the day and headed home after chanting at the SGI Soka tampines HQ. This is one of our routine activities during this festive season. Met godma and dad there too. took a look at their new mitsubishi lancer elegance series car. Not very impressive outlook. Dun like the model ..........

Just attended the BSB concert tonight. They had not performed in Singapore for the past decade. It's good to see them still standing strong in the music industry. If u were at the stadium tonight, u would be amazed by the turnout of the crowds. We saw 5-6 years old little kids (most probably their parents brought them along to see their idols), teenagers and aunties too... There were these "cute" aunties sitting with us ... they rocks ... The atmosphere was good, probably due to the participating audience and the solid performance by the band. They must be feeling very touched when the entire stadium could sing all of their songs with them. Brian sounds as good as before. I have always like his voice most out of the five. But as they matured, all of them sounds good. Hee hee... for a moment, i was glad that i went for the concert to hear them belted out songs that i love such as "Show me the meaning of being lonely", "Shape of my Heart" and many others. Glad that they got back together as a band again and continue their musical journey in the industry.

i still have to complain about the sound system. Although this is the best so far of all the concerts i had attended in the Indoor Stadium, there were many times that i could not really heard what they are singing,, their voices were muffled and everything sounds just like crashed together and for a moment there was just noise. The mic was a bit faulty at several occasions but that was forgivable.

We have managed to clinch very good seats today. Right at the centre of the stage. The display screen should be positioned slightly lower though. For us sitting at the top, the lighting racks blocked part of the screen.

At the end of the concert, we joined in the fun and waited for them to leave the place in the mini van. Fans were rushing to take photos and stuff ,,was chaotic manz... but nice experiences... So old liao .. still chased after idols .. ha ha ha

i enjoyed myself... hee hee

It is going to be difficult for me to accept that fish is going to exit from its role of being our family's pet soon although i dunno when will that be. Seeing his condition worsen each day after showing some signs of recovery in the beginning, i began to wonder did the 11th jab that went wrong cause his life eventually if not due to old age. If that is really the case, then i am the culprit that cause his death eventually. Looking at him right now, trying his very best to show that he is still surviving although he is swimming upside down. After doing so much, and yet we could not save him. Everyone in the family kept asking me to think of solution to save him,, to let him eat and let him stay upright... but i have tried every ways and means to get him to appear normal. it seems like all the efforts were washed down the drain. There's one way i have never tried,, that is to hit it against a hard surface ,,, not sure this will work or not coz just saw a proposed solution on internet. But this is very risky ... may result in death sooner than we thought. Must wait for elder bro to come back...then decide what to do... seeing his life whithering away slowly ...really hurt.

Received my transcript today. Finally, i can declare that i have graduated from the two year course. Hee Hee.. Surprised to be see my grade for clinical. it is something that i did not expect.

The fish has started to swim haywire last night. This morning , mum woke me at 6am when i was like in the middle of my dream. In the midst of my sleepiness,, administered the injection and changed the tank water. Then she called back from the market, told me to go and meet her at the market as she needed help. Oh my... luckily, my dad was done with his morning daimoku and offered to make the trip instead, so i continued my sleep after ensuring that the fish was in stable condition,, which he was not .. but there was nothing much i could do for him.

when i woke up slightly later, he was still swimming spirally. i decided to get him out of the tank and placed him in the pail so that he could maintain bouyancy better before putting him back. Did the same thing a few hours later... could observe some slight improvements. Sigh... wonder what is going to happen tomorrow. He always start to knock into something when he shows that he has recovered. then back to the square one again. This is damn fustrating . Bro will be back this fri, wonder what he will say when he sees his precious pet in a worse shape than before he left for his trip =P

Some things just did not work well for me today.

Woke up early as in at 7 plus in the morning. That's considered a bit early as compared with my usual 10 am since school ended. =P Anyway, was supposed to run some errands for my mum. That went pretty smooth. However, not when i try to inject the fish again. There was a pressure built up over at the injection site. The needle was in but the pressure did not permit the solution to be adminstrated. When it finally did, reflux occured. Had to pull the needle out and try a different region. Well, what was lost was lost .. did not replenish the wasted drug. Luckily, he appeared well today. Then came another problem. The stupid filter was stalled. i was fixing it and dismantling it for a full one hour before it worked again. Irritating !!!!

After lunch, went with my mum to chinatown. Guess what,,, i was damn pissed off when we were boarding the MRT on our way there. Firstly, yes i know the train was packed. So there were like only spaces for maybe 4-5 more passengers. Since no one was moving out from the train, mum and i shifted in near the door. From the corner of my eyes, i saw a woman with a pram and was saying ,"Excuse me." from the back of the cabin. As i was nearest the door,, and she was coming towards my direction, so i quickly shifted out of the train making way for her and a child. Guess what.. how considerate Singaporeans can be.. none of the passengers make way for her.. the poor lady had such difficulties getting herself out of the train. Mum did not come out as well but she helped the lady with her pram.... While she finally was out, some ornaments from the pram dropped on the floor. Again, no one helped to pick it up.. her son following behind her bowed down and picked it up... he was just about 5 years old.. The door closing alarm was on then ,,, the other passengers just "lend" their eyes power.... This is so unacceptable. Come on, the poor kid or lady may be hurt in the process. i always hate it when the train gets too crowded. i will get very irritated with all the unsightly human behaviour. However, there were also times when i witnessed some really kind souls in action. Guess there is always a mixture of people around. Just need to be used to it and try to see the positive sight of human beings. The world will be a better place to live in.

me down with flu again. Looks like tonight is going to be a drowsy night after medication. =)

It's about 12 days left before the end of this one month break. Going to start work soon. Cannot imagine how it is going to be like. i guess it will be similar to how i feel everytime i start clinical attachments, extra responsibilities when dealing with patients unlike in school. Looking forward to it but somewhere inside my heart thinks that i am not ready for it. hee hee ..Anyway, who is ready for work when i have always enjoy laid back life at home doing nothing but collects cobwebs. =P

The crochet project is still running ,, think i cannot finish it before commencement of work as i am still far far away from the completion stage. Well, i believe with some amount of preserverance, i will be able to see it in 6 months times.

just read the new paper. Guess what's the headline? Some restaurant has caught a gigantic gouper fish weighinh 116kg (if i remembered correctly. I dunno what's so great about that. If i am a marine biologist, i would probably want to take some measurements of the fish and implant a tracker on it so that we can keep track of it and monitor its progress. Since it is already a rare sight to have such a big fish ..then why killed it and eat it somemore. i would be glad to give it a chance to survive and had a natural death. Hmm ... at the same time it is fulfilling part of the food chain, falling into preys of the predators, us human beings. Think i am getting too passionate about saving fish already.. ha ha ,, no i am not turning veggie.. i still love to eat fish,... ironic... hmm hee hee cannot be help

fish looks very lethagic, floating quietly and no sudden movement except when someone wants to leave the house or someone returns. not eating worms anymore,, but is put on dried pellets .. =(

Yesterday night was terrible. It seems to me that i have just suffered from bouts of allergic reactions towards unknown factors. i was just doing my normal stuff in front of the pc and all of a sudden, i developed difficulties in breathing, breathlessness, sneezing, teary eyes and no rashes. After a full 15 minutes, the coughing came in. There i was trying to analyse what could possibily stimulat such an effect but nothing came into my mind. i never ate the wrong food, no dust and stuff.. Guess what, when i woke up this morning, both my eyes were swollen. Sigh. lazy to go and see the doctor so just consume some anti histamines drug and see how it goes. If something happen to me later, lesson to be learnt is to visit the doctor when experienced such incidents and never delay treatment.

Anyway, the fish looks more co ordinated than yesterday. After the jab, he seems to be doing well too. No more prolong flip over stunts today. The drug for injection is methycobal. Something to treat the nerve systems.

sigh, looks like my fish is still unwell. He is often floating upside down sometimes in the upside down position at the bottom of the tank. Looks like he can still float and sink just not in the upright position. When he swims, he will do circular movements as well. i would say he is pretty smart too. He knows how to make use of the filter tube to support his chin so that he cannnot over turn and maintain in the upright position. However, a tiny portion of the fin is above water. i am afraid that this will be a little problem.. prolong exposure to the surronding and not totally submerged in the water, will definitely cause other problems such as dehydration. Called the vet up and he recommended another 8 doses of jabs for him. Tomorrow, dad will be collecting them from him and i will have to start the injections again. Hopefully, no more miss in target coz the 11th jab's experience was terrible when the fish just kept moving and when he is finally not struggling,, he shifted position when the needle was inserted and injection was in process. It scared the hell out of me manz,,, coz i am performing the injection in a much lower water level than i am supposed to,, the pressure and resistance are greater,, normally i try to do it just below surface,,, really regret making the decision to do that coz not sure if the impact has resulted in the fish kept overturning today or rather since the 11th jab,, it has been somersaulting more often... ergh,, wonder did i damage and major organs.. coz i saw some red coloured liquid oozing out from the injection site.. but when i think over,, i thought the liquid looks like the injected solution ,, hmmmm... he can still pass motion so no doubts on constipation. Not sure what i observed is bloating stomach or not .. dun think so .. so just have to take the vet's words that he needs more jabs to stablize the nerves. Hopefully after that he could recover as since the commencement of the treatment ,, he has been doing fine ,, eating well and very active,,, today he did not really eat dinner just a couple of dry pellets. sigh... try confinement but he refused and also he kept floating to the surface ... pray for him then (",)

This is the last jab for the fish. And he looks okie except that he still making somersaults and lying upside down sometimes. I dunno if he is trying to make fun of me or what coz every time he do that i will climb up the chair... before i could put my hand into water to help him out,, he returns to normal position. This is a bit fustrating as i am now monitoring his behaviour so that i can feedback to the vet on wednesday. hmmm... this is a big mystery puzzle trying to judge if he is alright or is he falling sick again. =)

Think falling sick again. Nose blocked again.. wondered should i go for a thorough check up on that . looks kinda abnormal though.

i woke up early this morning around 8 plus as i was expecting a delivery of the wireless router modem from singnet between 9am to 11am. The normal routine tasks like injection for the fish and changing of water were performed as usual. i was like carrying the pails of water in and out of the bathroom, my dear elder bro just chose to lie down on the sofa and watch TV. *fuming* anyway, i am used to that ... nothing to complain about.

After doing all that, it is about 10 plus.,, delivery was still not in sight. Hence, i waited till about one quater past 11, i called up singnet and made an enquiry over the delivery time. Although i am not going anywhere, this does not mean that i have all the time in the world to wait for the delivery right. However, i have this expectation that it will be late ... hee hee ,,, i guess the reputation of singnet is still not there. ha ha ha.. But he was polite and apologise for the lateness. So not too bad.

Sigh. today i spent a bomb on yarns.. oh my should not have done that manz.. too late to regret

Oh no!!! i did not go Sim Lim Square to purchase the wireless USB network adapters. They are going to deliver the wireless router modem tomorrow. Ergh. Although i am not planning to let them do the installation and configuration for me, i am not sure what time will my brother's flight be. Hope he is flying off in the morning and has no intention to set that up before he flies off Germany for business trip. According to Vic, it is pretty easy to install and configure the WLAN. Hmmm maybe i can setup it up by myself. Maybe, tomorrow afternoon i will make a trip down to get the hardware then try to configure the network.

Finally, there was not much rain today. The heavy downpour for the past few days were reduced to short drizzles occassionally. The sun came out from the shades ha ha ... at least it doesn't feel that gloomy. Hee Hee.

Feeling kinda restless the entire day. Think ate too much. Helped mum to change her bedsheet. Love her prints for the new bedsheet. Light blue background and white feathers patterns, very simple and clean look. (",)

What a peaceful friday the 13th (",)

The fish has started eating frozen worms about two days ago. yup, finally he feels like eating and decides to ask for food from my dad. Day by day, he asking for more stuff such as increasing the water level in the tank as he cannot position his body in the upright posture when he is admiring the water bubbles created by the air stones. Ha Ha true my fish has weird habits ,,,, what to do right ,, its owners are also not "normal" ha ha ...

read the recent issue of National Geographic magazine. They did some coverage on the grand canyon this time talking about the native people who once called the canyon their homes where they farmed at the low lying region of the canyon and along the river. Today, the native peoples still living in the canyon but in a different regions. They still continued the traditions and ask for protections from the spirits of the canyon. Since young, i have showed great interest in the culture of the natives Americans and their spiritual way of life. Maybe since i am free for this period before commencement of work, i may dropped by the national library and see if i can get more information on this area. hee hee ...

Besides the topic on grand canyon, there is also an article with regrad to the fast depletion of the amphibians family (frogs). It commented that there is a unknown fungus disease which is spreading like wildfire among the frogs that results in many losing their lives. They are currently trying to rescue as many species as possible and kept them in the zoos until they can find a cure to the newly emerged deadly diseases. Well, this could mean that there may be more newly evolved diseases out there which may still waiting for the opportunities to attack the living things on earth. Are they signs that the world is about to come to an end?

Have u ever saw a praying mantis before? Do u have any idea what colour they could be in besides green. Their camoflouged ability is amazing. Different parts of the world, they endowed different appearances in order to blend in with the environment. They look so beautiful. hmm i still remember the day after one praying mantis flew into my house, my fish fell sick .... stupid fish got scared of the praying mantis hee hee,,,,

Oh the article on forensic investigations give me some thoughts, they also required radiographers to perform x ray projections for the dead. hmmm.... u know what i am thinking ? =P

This is just a summary on how much i absorbed and what drew my attention in the recent issue of NGM. (",)

It's Hari Raya Haji today.

Went for a singing session at k box in the late morning. The place was freezing cold. i forgot to inform the other two gals to bring along a jacket.. hee hee it's a wonder how the three of us could tolerate such unbearable coldness for about 3 hours. imagine my hand shivered when i tried to lift my cup of milo and when u sing, there is a natural "dong yin". Nevertheless, i tried singing some new songs which i never tried before and turned out pretty alright. =) The lunch set offered by k box whom collaborate with the sakura restaurant was delicious compared to the other lunch set i had in other branches =)

Afterthat, we went straight to Delifrance for some hot drinks. We stayed till around evening time as we are busy trying to find solution to YL's problem. hope she got some enlightenment out of it and hope i did not confuse her further hee hee .. what a lousy adviser right =P

my legs are aching now due to the skipping exercise which i attempted two days ago. Well, just want to start working out so that i can start toning my muscle instead of seeing them turning to fabs day by day. Did some push ups, sit ups as well. Skipping exercise is not really good for my knees as they tend to put more strains on my knee caps as i skipped. hmmm ......

It seems like the fish is able to float today. Anyway, he looks as if he is diving with his head downwards and his temper is really bad. i dun really know where it acquires that temper of his from. But the temper do run in our family. Everyone in the family has fiery temper as that. Ha ha ha . Continue with the jab, this is the third jab out of the 12 doses.

My future SIL (younger bro's) has given me a mini shower radio as christmas cum early birthday present. It looks a shape of a mushroom with white and iliac colour combination. Looks Cool and Cute. Of course, i will not placed it in the bathroom as it will drop off from the shower panel in no time. Nice thoughts of her. Hmm .... next year after i resume work, guess i have to give her presents too. Not very nice for me to accept but never give all these years right. Hee hee . ...

after the jab, the fish looks better. He was able to maintain in upright position and swim abit when i realeased him out of confinement. Things seem to be looking for him. If he recovers, have to thank the vet for his effort.

Anyway, i was a bit tired looking after the fish.... going up and down to help him to get him so that he will not strain himself too much in the process of trying to regain upright position. However, sometimes he could handle the fall all by himself. Hope he can start to float and eat his meals soon.

shall see the progress tomorrow. Hope he will not be too active that i cannot administer the injection and physiotherapy sessions.

hee hee,,, Dr Chua did a housecall this morning to look at the fish. Although he kept stressing that the chance of recovery was pretty slim, i still want to try to save him. So from today onwards, i have to inject the fish with some vitamin B12 and something else drug to help to clear the nerve infection. That will be a treatment of 12 doses. On top of that, i will need to perform physiotherapy on the fish so that his muscles are stretched as he is now considered immobile. Like doc says, he is now deemed a "paralysed" patient. In order to reduce contact surface with the tank as it may cause skin infection (fish skin is very sensitive), we did a partition with perspex to confine him as well as keeping him upright. When i released him to play play a bit, he can swim a bit in the upright position. hee hee he seems happy to be able to do that. Now the issue is , he is still not eating. Doc has suggested giving him prawn meat but he refused to eat. Stuff inside his mouth, he throws them out. Guess have to wait for him to start eating himself. I suffered a few minor cuts from him while trying to physiotherapy with the fish. My grip is not tight to hold him in place. I could do it well in the morning leh. Maybe he is more active after the jab. Quite fun to give the fish jab leh.. Hopefully i can still remember the position to jab tomorrow morning. HAHA ,, horrible. No wonder my mum says lucky i did not become a doctor. hee hee

No one reply me ... sigh...

The fish has been doing well so far. However, he was not able to consume any food due to his upside down position. He kept missing the food target as when he lifted himself off the bottom of the tank, his fins actually created a current which push the food even further away from him. Maybe it is time we invest on a syringe which may help him a little. He dun like food to be feed into his mouth, he likes to catch his own food source. He loved to have his dried food hard and crispy. With his current condition, it will be better for him to eat soft ones ,, but he just "throw" them out of his mouth,, even though i have tried so hard to get them into his mouth.... ERGH !!!!! Stubborn like me ,,, ...

He hurt one of his eye which he always hit it when he fell hard to the bottom of the tank as he get up to the surface of the water. i suspect the prolonged duration he had laid on that side also contribute to the injury as well. Wonder can still salvage the eye or not. i dun want him to survivie the ordeal but lost the function of one of his eyes. Hope he dun sustain another new injury anymore. His will to stay alive is so far very strong. just keep praying for him,,, and hope the vet will agree to come and treat him.

The fish woke me up at around 10am. He was making so much noise with the air pump tube that i could not ignore him and got out of the bed. As usual, i dun know what he wants. So begun calling the vet clinics one by one to check if they offer treatment for luohan fish. Most clinic refers me to the aqua life expert but he is away. will only be available tomorrow. So left my contact number and name with the reception and hopefully they will return my call tomorrow. At the same time, i am also waiting for the vet from another clinic to reply if he wants to treat the fish or not. Well, animals also have status issues. Luo Han fish is not considered the expensive speices afterall it is orginated from the drain compared to Koi. Most people dun even bother to treat it when disesase striked them. Most common practice is to consult the fish shops and get off shelf treatment and hope that the treatment will work for them. i wanted to get antibiotics but dunno where to get them since they are not available in the fish shop. Besides, i am not sure if my fish is suffered from injury or bacterial infection or constipation which result in swimbladder problem.

There's nothing much i could do but to wait for people to get back to me then =(
