There have been news on upcoming typhoons storms and a series of earthquakes which hit Asia Pacific part of the globe. There are just so many natural disasters occurring around the world. Is the world coming to end soon? The symptoms we are getting ,seems to indicate that the earth is going through a series of rapid changes. It does not help that we human beings are still contributing to global warming and all the going green efforts do not have immediate impact on the damaged ecosystem. The efforts we are putting in now , will only show results years later, but the question is what we are putting through now, is it sufficient to save our dear planet?
i have another two weeks of shift work to go before i am back to office hours. Sometimes i wonder how others could go on constant shift work for the entire of their careers. It is very unhealthy for the body system to adjust to the time differences. If one is on permanent night shift, that will be much easier compared to the morning and night shift patterns. To adapt to the shift work pattern is easier and shorter than to readjust back to the normal working hours. For me, i used to have no such problems in adjusting myself to shift and back to office hours. However, with the 12 hours shift pattern, i seemed to have difficulties in getting my normal cycle back when i am back to office hours. Getting my brain to rest is one big problem. The little brain of mine tend to get too hyperactive during the wee hours. Sleep monster only starts to set in like 4 to 5 am in the morning. That's the time i usually feel sleepy when i am on night shift. Nevertheless, just hoped that after these two weeks, i would need shorter time to adapt back to my normal hours.
i am not looking forward to the coming months though. =P i dun have much of a choice to what i want. But that is the only alternate route i could steer myself towards if i cannot do clinical for life. My back problem seems to be getting worse. Well, it could be highly due to the fact that i do not exercise regularly. Yes, i will try to work on my abdominal muscles and do some maintenance to prevent deterioration of the condition of my spine. That does not really give me a reason not to do clinical too. Just wondering about the options i have in future if i decided to quit radiography for good. What else can i do?
