hee hee, just finished reading this book earlier this morning.
i did not set high expectations for this sequel as it is already her sixth book. Well, guess that helps me to enjoy the plots more.
The story has started to be gloomed by the death of harry's godfather, Sirius Black and towards the end, the death of Dumbledore, his beloved headmaster. It seems anyone who has a closed bond relationship with harry would eventually left him. So sad right!!
There are also developments of the love relationships among the kids. Ron and Hermione have their fair share of "lovers' quarrel"not forgetting Harry and Ginny (Ron's sister) relationship development but Harry made the decision to part with Ginny in a way trying to protect her from being harm by the dark lord.
However, i made the wrong guess on who exactly is the Half blood Prince. i thought it was Tom Riddles but in the end the owner turned out to be Professor Snape. Professor Snape's loyalty to Dumbledore was being questioned and his final betrayal by killing Dumbledore did not really justify which sides he was with. Based on the description, he seemed to be with the Dark Lord. Then the six Horcruxes where Voldemort kept his soul. It makes wonder if Harry is one of the Horcruxes since Voldemort is going to use him to attain mortality.
Looking forward to the next book. The Quidditch game was not as exciting as seen on TV or compared to the past sequel. hee hee this is the favourite part of the movie though,,, something to look forward for the movie. (",)
