i have the honour of attending the concert to celebrate hospices pallative care day. It was known as "Voices for Hospices". Well, i should thank my dad for getting the tickets as he took part in one of the performances. All the performances were put up by volunteers' organisation that ranged from school alumni to religious groups to schools and drama group. Although the standard of performances were not very consistent, they were rather enjoyable.
The concert rolled off with the local group, Voices 4, whom specialized in singing a cappela. I must stalute them with their wonderful vocals and harmonizes really well with one another especially for the number "Lean on me". I kinda of enjoy the "java jive" song very cute... that goes "coffee tea something" hee hee
NUSS choir was the next performance for the night. kudos them for their efforts.
the soka segment performed by the soka junior choir belting out rainbow connection. The all the time favourite song. =P and men choir did a hokkien song and chinese song. A bit out for the night as the crowd was more of younger generation who may not know how to appreciate the traditional chinese song.
The Japanese Association Ladies' Choir was the night best. Ms Rie Suzuki did very well on the piano as the accompanist of the choir. the choir sang very well.
