i was out visiting one of my aunties with my mum whom i have not seen her for the past six years (according to her) ... i dun even remember that it's been such a long time since i last met her. Oops... u know that kinda feeling. However, i realised elderly around their age, love to talk about death. The topic revolves around the subject as in to prepare themselves to accept the fact that death is the next thing to expect in life. i agree that one should not live on this earth for too long. The ripe old age such as 90 over is not popular now among the elders. They dun wish to live that long as the older they are, they are bound to suffer from old age illness and for those who are already down with chronic illness, it becomes even more difficult for them to come to terms with their conditions and worries that they would become a burden to their children. However, it's alright if one has no major illness to live till that long. i wonder what's the percentage like. i guess we have no control over when we die, so why bother over how long we live. Just enjoy it the way we want it while we still can and when there is a change of events when we get older, we have no choice but to face the reality and try to get out of the state. Even if when we could not get out , just can try to keep ourselves happy and not to blame god for playing tricks on us. For those who have children to take care of them, they will feel blessed compared to those who are abandoned by the kids or who have no spouse or children at all. If i did not get married in future, i have to prepare myself when i become an old lady. Coz i may be spending the rest of my life in an nursing home or home for the aged since i will have no one to depend on. Worst still, when my health is tormented with god's know what kind of illness, i will be in a more sorry state than ever. If i am lucky, i will still be able to do things i want to do then...... who knows what the future lies. Have we ever wonder about this before?
