It has been a long time. hee hee
Well, i am back on shift for one week and i has this feeling that my general x rays skills are deterioting big time.... after about one week, till this morning then i was able to do tight collimation for my PA chest erect and AP Sitting Chest. Really shaking my head. Had my first trauma alone during the wee hours. i was definitely pissed off with the tube in resus. The cables just got caught in between the partitions again and i dun have the strength to move it to the centre of the "small" cubicle. What to do, cannot move tube then have to move the trolley. And they just left that ultrasound machine blocking the way, goes without saying damn irritating with the limited already space and with and additional "space occupying lesion". How to move fast with so many equipment hindering the movement and people moving in and out of the room without closing the door. Time has to be wasted waiting for the door to close again and for people to evacuate the place. Absolutely pissed!!!!!! Although the patient was really small size, c spine still could include everything. No choice, maybe will have to do swimmers' view in room 6 later if the condition is stable. The limited working space and that stupid tube coupled with my half rotten skills ....that's really the best i could do. luckily my partner came back for the femur x ray, i have problem inserting the cassette under as i could not use the trolley's bucky. Oh but i did a jack's handle view (a pretty nice one) by myself after two repeats coz the head rotated cannot see both sides and the placement of the cassette as well.
Despite of all the frustrations at work, we managed to squeeze in some yoga sessions during the night. Nice working partners to be with. This coming week, i will be running on afternoon shift again. Oh no.... the most busiest part of the day with OT, portables and all.
Some updates on my coming trip, have finalised the air tickets. Now just need to finalised the accomodation and mode of transport to paris then have to start getting the essentials for the trip. Backpacking this time.... hmmmm
