Here i am asking myself what i want to do again. i was at conference over the weekend. This morning, there were a series of talks on career pathway. i have been asking myself am i more academic, clinical or administration. Frankly speaking, i was not very sure of that myself.
i am definitely not academic as i dun like to teach. That will mean i cannot be application specialist. Basically i dun like to do presentation though i am a loner most of the times. Clinical yes i am, there's so much yet to learn for clinical, however my back will not allow me to be in clinical for life. Love and wants can be two separate issues.
Research, i do like to do research but i hate to write and present papers. i am just being difficult.
I dun like management too. just like to do support roles.
As a pacs administrator now, i kinda like this role. i get to move around often and there's many co ordination tasks which requires good communication skills. i like looking at servers although they do give me headaches sometime. As i said before , i am still new in this role , i need time to pick up adequate knowledge to see through. That brings me back to the question," do i need to take the degree for radiography?".
Guess in order to continue on.. i have to take the degree so that i can progress. But if i want to go into PACS administration, Should i take IT related degree instead?
Why i take so long to decide on this? i have been dragging that for so long 3 years have past. What have i acheived?
sigh....
